Well... I've not cast on for the Knitting Olympics yet.
Did get 14 hours of sleep last night, though. And I did get nearly one entire project started and completed yesterday while waiting for the mail between 11am and 4pm....

I dyed! :D
I might try to run the darker colour through a blue bath once really well to make it a little more purple and a lot less wine.
The mauve came out wonderfully, though.
Recipies: 220 yds fingering weight color-your-own merino -- 3 pkgs grape, 3 pkgs black cherry for the wine -- 4 pkgs pink lemonade and a bit of the blue left over from the wine batch for the mauve.

New Handspun! Call it Grunge. 92 yards of single-ply with bits of other coloured fibers twined in while spinning (not plyed in... don't know what you'd call that, really). Merino cross (brown), Blue Faced Leicester (orange) and processed roving (a very small amount of white and a large amount of process black).
I'll see what I can do with it later on. It's very interesting to say the least.
...I need to learn how to take better pictures. Definitely on my list of things to do in the year 2006.

New Handspun! 196 yards single-ply handspun Blue Faced Leicester wool (lightly dyed in orange) - washed lightly dyed fleece purchased from Homestead Wool and Gift Farm (Wisconsin). I'm sure there will be more yarn pictures in the next day or two along with between one and three 8x8 inch afghan squares for stitchmysquare -- almost done with stephc's replacement November square.
I can't wait until I can get started on my knitting olympics project -- February 11th can't get here soon enough! :D

This is me updating. Watch me update! Yeah, woo. And stuff. I love the easy way of creating the illusion of 1x1 ribbing -- *k1 sl*. But, unfortunately, I tend to slip up more often than not. Hence the user name.
